Evan Currey is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with the National Strength Professionals Association (NSPA). Athletics, fitness, and exercise have long played an integral role in Evan’s life.
Having gone through treatment for cancer during high school and again in college, Evan understood at a young age just how precious good health can be. After the end of treatments, becoming fit and healthy again was of prime importance. To do so while recovering from treatment is not an easy road. It is due in large part to this experience that he has pursued fitness with such intensity.
Evan has been playing soccer and tennis since he was a child, and he has been studying martial arts for over 10 years. He also regularly runs and lifts weights. Additionally, he has provided athletic instruction for many years: teaching tennis during summers in college, over six years of teaching martial arts, and running an after school physical education class for high school students.
Prior to joining JETT, Evan earned his BS and Master of Architecture from the UMCP, then worked for four years in the field of residential architecture until deciding instead to pursue his passion for sport and fitness.
It is these diverse experiences that enable him to help people of all ages and abilities reach their fitness and athletic goals.
